Requirements
- •JD from accredited law school and active license to practice law in the US or equivalent
- •6-8 years legal experience focused on product counselling, privacy, and data protection
- •In-house experience at fast growing technology company supporting internal product teams
- •Exposure to AI, SaaS, or high-growth technology product environments
- •Strong technical curiosity and ability to understand product architecture, SaaS platforms, and data flows
- •Commercial mindset understanding legal enables product velocity
- •Excellent written and verbal communication skills
What You'll Do
- •Partner with Product Team and Product Managers to provide proactive legal advice on new products and features, especially involving AI and candidate data
- •Own privacy compliance including global DPA playbooks, privacy policy updates, and data subject access request processes
- •Respond to customer security and compliance questionnaires and develop scalable processes
- •Contribute to creation of customer-facing compliance documentation, FAQs, and GTM materials
- •Partner with Security team to respond to security incidents and draft communications
- •Provide proactive advice on industry regulations and developments related to AI and privacy laws
- •Advise on data practices, data retention, and cross-border data transfers
- •Support vendor due diligence and negotiations on privacy and compliance terms
- •Work on various legal matters including IP, employment, global expansion, and fundraising
- •Help shape legal function’s operations and structure including identifying opportunities for innovation
Nice to Have
- •Experience building or scaling a privacy or product legal function
- •Privacy certifications such as CIPP, CIPM, or CIPT
- •Experience using legislative and regulatory tracking platforms
