    Requirements

    • 8+ years in Customer Success, Strategic Account Management, or post-sale strategic relationship roles at top-tier B2B SaaS companies
    • At least 3 years operating at the Sr. CSM level or equivalent
    • Experience owning multi-million ARR, complex multi-stakeholder, multi-BU strategic customer relationships
    • Exceptional executive presence and communication with C-suite, CTO, and board-level engagement
    • Demonstrated impact on team and function through playbooks, mentorship, and cross-functional initiatives
    • Direct experience in CI/CD, DevOps, or developer infrastructure SaaS
    • Strong commercial fluency including pricing, packaging, and economics of named-account coverage
    • Ability to operate as both an individual contributor and function leader

    What You'll Do

    • Own end-to-end relationships on Buildkite's most strategic accounts
    • Drive measurable business outcomes aligned to enterprise-wide goals
    • Mobilize internal teams across complex accounts
    • Calibrate engagement cadence with senior stakeholders
    • Contribute to strategic direction of Customer Success function
    • Drive C-suite, CTO, and board-level engagement
    • Translate platform investment into business outcomes
    • Lead Executive Business Reviews with AE and TAM
    • Amplify voice of strategic customers internally
    • Navigate complex internal and customer organizations
    • Define playbooks, KPIs, and engagement standards for CS team
    • Mentor and develop CSMs and Sr. CSMs
    • Lead cross-functional initiatives across CS, Product, Sales, and Marketing
    • Set standards for risk identification, renewal strategy, and expansion sourcing

    Nice to Have

    • Hands-on familiarity with Buildkite or comparable CI/CD platforms (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, CircleCI, Harness, GitLab CI)
    • Player/coach experience with team leadership in an IC capacity
    • Experience leading or shaping a CS function from an early stage at a developer-infrastructure or B2B SaaS company
    • Experience partnering with Technical Account Managers or Solutions Architects in separated technical and relationship roles
    • Familiarity with CS platforms (Vitally, Catalyst, Gainsight, Totango) and modern revenue stacks (Salesforce, Avoma, ChartMogul)
