Requirements

•Seasoned engineer with experience in Python and possibly Go, Rust, or TypeScript
•Architecturally minded with experience designing systems, planning migrations without downtime, and sequencing rearchitecture projects
•Experience with data model and retrieval problems including schemas, relationships, normalization, query design, and type systems
•Experience with search technologies, especially Elasticsearch, including query planning, relevance, indexing at scale, or building/operating search engines
•Experience shipping meaningful LLM-backed or agentic AI features to real users
•Use AI tools in daily workflow to improve productivity and code quality
•Experience debugging incidents affecting latency and owning critical systems with real customer impact
•Builder mindset, preferring to ship early versions quickly rather than over-engineering

•Rearchitect the core CRM data model to allow customers to represent their business operations accurately
•Make Close CRM usable by agents by building tools and endpoints that expose CRM data and actions
•Ship AI-native CRM features such as agentic enrichment, AI-powered data cleaning, and richer AI search
•Keep critical CRM operations fast, including finding leads, updating deals, scanning pipelines, and running bulk actions
