Requirements
- •Seasoned Python engineer
- •Experience shipping meaningful LLM-backed or agentic AI work to real users
- •Use coding agents in daily workflow with a point of view on their effectiveness
- •Fluent in observability and production practices including telemetry, metrics, tracing, alerting
- •Opinionated about API design with experience shipping internet-facing APIs
- •Experience debugging incidents with real customer impact
- •Builder mindset prioritizing adoption over elegance
- •Energized by working with internal customers directly
What You'll Do
- •Expand DevDawg and Spice cloud development environments and automated review tooling
- •Build paved roads for API layer including REST blueprints, GraphQL schema, OpenAPI, auth and permission plumbing
- •Modernize backend framework layer including web and async compute frameworks and migration paths
- •Own production observability, metrics, alerting, and readiness bar
- •Ship shared backend services and primitives like eventing patterns, database-change safety, delegated access, internal admin framework
- •Set guardrails for coding agents including static analysis, linting, hooks, test harnesses
- •Partner across the organization with infrastructure teams
Nice to Have
- •Experience with Go, Rust, or TypeScript
- •Experience with Flask, FastAPI, GraphQL, TaskTiger, Kafka, Redis, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, Docker, Kubernetes, GitHub Actions
