Requirements
- •Deep knowledge of data architecture, ETL/ELT pipelines, and distributed systems
- •Ability to design scalable, high-performance solutions
- •Proactive approach to diagnosing issues and improving infrastructure
- •Strong skills in writing clean, maintainable code (e.g., Python, SQL, Scala)
- •Championing best practices like version control, testing, and CI/CD for data
- •Ability to work cross-functionally with analysts, data scientists, and engineers
- •Mentoring junior team members
- •Strong sense of responsibility for data accuracy, lineage, and security
What You'll Do
- •Design and implement large-scale distributed data processing systems using technologies like Apache Hadoop, Spark, and Flink
- •Build robust data pipelines and infrastructure that transform complex data into actionable insights
- •Ensure scalability and fault-tolerance across the platform
- •Architect data lakes, warehouses, and real-time streaming platforms
- •Implement security measures and optimize performance
- •Drive innovation and evaluate new technologies to improve the data ecosystem
Nice to Have
- •Leadership skills: guiding and mentoring junior members, coordinating projects and collaborating with other teams
- •Domain knowledge of the hospitality industry
- •Data architecture expertise including designing robust, scalable, and maintainable architectures
- •Performance optimization skills such as query optimization, indexing, caching, and data partitioning
- •Familiarity with Java and other programming languages
- •Experience working with a remote-first and globally distributed team
- •Experience with CI/CD tooling including GitHub Actions and Build Workflows
