Requirements
- •1 to 3 years of SEO experience, agency, in-house, or freelance
- •Working knowledge of Google Search Console, GA4, and at least one SEO tool (Ahrefs, Semrush, or similar)
- •A real point of view on AEO and how AI search is reshaping organic strategy
- •Strong written English for briefing writers and editing content
- •Organised and proactive with ability to track work and meet deadlines
- •Genuinely curious about search and algorithm updates
- •A systems thinker who builds workflows to fix multiple issues
What You'll Do
- •Own the day-to-day execution of Darkroom's SEO: on-page optimization, internal linking, metadata, structured data, and content updates
- •Conduct keyword research and map search intent to opportunities across the Observatory, case studies, and landing pages
- •Architect topic clusters, pillar pages, and refresh cycles so the Observatory compounds in authority over time
- •Run regular technical audits and fix issues across crawlability, site speed, broken links, and schema markup
- •Own Darkroom's llms.txt and AEO strategy for AI search visibility
- •Build content briefs that pre-load search intent, entity coverage, SERP gaps, and competitor angles
- •Run co-marketing backlink program with partners and manage partner content calendar
- •Maintain live read on share of voice, SERP movement, and competitor content velocity
- •Track organic performance weekly and develop strategic insights
- •Use AI tools to scale keyword clustering, on-page optimization, and reporting
Nice to Have
- •Experience with Framer or similar CMS from an SEO implementation perspective
- •Familiarity with ecommerce or DTC space
- •Exposure to content strategy or digital PR
- •Expertise in using AI tools like Claude, ChatGPT, and Perplexity in daily workflow
- •Track record of personal projects, side sites, or blogs built and grown
