Requirements
- •5+ years of progressive accounting experience including hands-on close cycle experience
- •Active CPA preferred
- •Strong public accounting foundation (Big 4 or national firm) is a plus
- •Solid working fluency in US GAAP at the operational level
- •Demonstrated AI-native working style using LLMs daily for accounting work
- •Comfortable coding small scripts in Python, SQL, or Apps Script for automation
- •Strong execution habits, careful and organized
- •Strong written and verbal communication skills
- •High integrity, high ownership, low ego
What You'll Do
- •Support monthly, quarterly, and annual GL close including preparing reconciliations and posting journal entries
- •Prepare account reconciliations across various accounts with audit-ready documentation
- •Prepare recurring and accrual journal entries with appropriate support
- •Partner with offshore AP team on day-to-day AP tasks and escalations
- •Process and review expense reports and support schedules for intercompany, fixed assets, and prepaids
- •Contribute to flux analysis and draft initial commentary
- •Support external audit PBC requests including documentation and auditor questions
- •Help improve the close playbook and suggest improvements
- •Use AI tools daily for reconciliation matching, anomaly detection, journal entry drafting, narrative drafts, and vendor lookups
- •Support tax, treasury, and FP&A counterparts on data and reporting needs
Nice to Have
- •Prior experience supporting a first external audit
- •SaaS or AI startup accounting experience
- •Working knowledge of NetSuite, Rillet, FloQast, BlackLine, Ramp, or similar tools
- •Exposure to multi-entity/international intercompany accounting
- •Experience contributing to ERP migration or close tooling rollout
