Requirements
- •Ability to lead and collaborate on high-impact and complex projects from proposal through post-mortem
- •Skills to wrangle vague problems, propose innovative solutions, and execute them effectively
- •Experience working on privacy solutions in an engineering capacity (e.g. tracker blocker, differential privacy, or similar technology)
- •Deep technical understanding of online privacy threats and existing solution space
- •Proficiency in Go, Node.js, Python, or Perl
- •Excellent communication skills to validate and clearly communicate decisions to technical and non-technical stakeholders
What You'll Do
- •Lead complex projects across key company-wide objectives on the Privacy Functional Team
- •Protect user privacy using Go, Node.js, Python, and Perl to write pragmatic, performant, testable code
- •Design systems to improve search indexes and AI features without compromising user privacy
- •Build new features on Tracker Radar crawler to detect emerging privacy threats
- •Implement and maintain privacy features such as Web Tracking and Email Protections
- •Own major components of privacy technology, maintaining and improving them over time
- •Participate in privacy review and audit processes to ensure product developments align with privacy principles
- •Mentor other engineers and support their career growth
