Requirements
- •Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
- •8 years of experience in program or project management
- •5 years of experience with electrical, mechanical, controls, security monitoring, fire safety, networking/fiber, server equipment, systems, or infrastructure
- •5 years of experience with technical teams responsible for project management, engineering, and construction of data centers or facilities
- •Ability to travel and be onsite 5 days a week as required
What You'll Do
- •Manage multiple data center projects from inception to completion, overseeing all phases including concept development, design, construction, and deployment
- •Gather and analyze internal requirements, translating them into effective solutions for data center operations teams
- •Collaborate with cross-functional partners, vendors, and internal teams to resolve issues and maintain project momentum
- •Communicate project updates, risks, and opportunities to leadership and stakeholders
- •Analyze and evaluate complex construction challenges, developing creative solutions to minimize impact on timelines and costs
- •Lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish, managing project schedules, identifying risks, and coordinating stakeholders
- •Manage a fast paced, national level program for data center projects
- •Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure projects stay on track, within budget, and meet quality and efficiency standards
- •Contribute to the infrastructure that powers Google's products and services
- •Develop and implement creative solutions addressing challenges of building and operating hyper-scale data centers
Nice to Have
- •7 years of experience with equipment/environments
- •Experience managing vendor relationships and understanding of standard practices in design and construction industry
- •Knowledge of fast-track design-build processes
- •Knowledge of large-scale facility electrical and mechanical systems
- •Ability to gather requirements, organize resources, prioritize tasks, manage schedules, and achieve objectives within defined goals
- •Strong communication and problem-solving skills
