Requirements
- •7+ years of payroll experience including at least 3 years of people management experience
- •Oversight of end-to-end native and managed payrolls across the Americas (Canada, US, Mexico, LATAM)
- •Knowledge of local country taxation and compliance including benefits, expenses, income, national insurance, pension auto-enrolment, statutory payments
- •Experience working with local payroll software throughout the Americas/LATAM
- •Experience with finance transformation, RPA, and process improvement for automation and efficiency
- •Experience managing payroll for 1,000+ employees across multiple jurisdictions
- •Project management experience leading payroll implementations or transformation initiatives
- •Reliable home internet connection
- •Fluent English language skills
What You'll Do
- •Manage and oversee a team of payroll specialists delivering in-house and Employer of Record payroll across multiple countries and timezones
- •Manage, coach, and monitor the transition to and adoption of automated payroll tooling and processes
- •Deliver a best-of-breed payroll experience ensuring payroll queries are resolved in line with SLAs
- •Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve automated payroll processes
- •Manage native payroll operations in Canada and EoR payrolls in the US, Brazil, and Mexico
- •Lead management and resolution of payroll escalations
- •Maintain professional knowledge of payroll legislative changes
- •Perform manager reviews on pre-payroll and post-payroll audits
- •Work closely with HR Advisory on process and legislative issues
- •Oversee relations and SLA adherence with local payroll vendors and advisors
- •Lead optimization of payroll processes and engage with Product, Treasury, Accounting, and Finance Transformation teams
- •Build and develop team through coaching, performance management, and career development planning
- •Lead due diligence, vendor selection, and implementation planning for new country launches
- •Present management reports on payroll metrics and operational performance to senior leadership
- •Assist team with equity including RSUs and Stock Options
- •Provide backup support for payroll team members during PTO or peak periods
- •Mentor and develop payroll team members fostering continuous learning and career growth
- •Analyze payroll trends to identify discrepancies, inefficiencies, and areas for optimization
