Requirements
- •Proven track record of leading engineering teams in a high-scale production environment
- •High technical credibility across modern stacks (ideally PHP/Laravel, Vue.js, and cloud infrastructure)
- •Product-first mindset prioritizing customer value and business impact
- •Skilled at building alignment during transitions and leading teams through change
- •Measure success by team output, not just personal contributions
- •Forward-thinking approach to using LLMs and AI agents
- •Domain understanding of SEO-related web technologies is a strong plus
- •Fluent English; German is a strong advantage
What You'll Do
- •Lead the technical heart of a mature, high-traffic SEO SaaS product
- •Bridge the gap between engineering challenges and business impact
- •Guide the team through a transformation toward greater autonomy
- •Lead the team towards outcome focussed execution and AI-native engineering
- •Build trusting partnerships with engineering team and tech leads
- •Support the team in fostering ownership for outcomes
- •Guide the transition from functional to end-to-end ownership
- •Identify friction and bottlenecks to implement a value-driven delivery flow
- •Execute on a strategic roadmap balancing engineering transformation and product innovation
- •Guide the evolution of collaboration model from functional roles toward cross-functional efficiency
- •Own and co-create the technical vision and roadmap with Tech Leads
- •Spearhead adoption of AI-native development practice, tooling, and automation
- •Act as a sparring partner to CEO and Product leadership
- •Own technical direction for data-heavy platform, security, data and privacy, performance, and migrations
- •Mentor and empower an international engineering team
