Requirements
- •Undergraduate degree minimum (advanced degree a plus)
- •5-10+ years experience in software acquisition, origination at VC/PE/investment banking, expert network firms, or buy-side sourcing platforms
- •Demonstrated people leadership managing teams of 3+ FTEs
- •Proven track record building and scaling high-performing sales or origination organizations
- •Exceptional pipeline discipline with quantitative, metrics-oriented deal generation
- •Extensive experience in outbound engagement including cold-calling founders and C-suite executives
- •Full-cycle deal experience from initial contact through signed term sheets
- •Superior relationship-building skills in complex stakeholder environments
- •Uncompromising professional standards and achievement-oriented work ethic
- •Adaptive leadership style effective independently and cross-functionally
- •Comfortable with ambiguity and rapid iteration in fast-paced environment
- •Demonstrated expertise leveraging AI and automation to enhance origination productivity
What You'll Do
- •Define and execute origination strategy aligned with platform growth objectives
- •Establish and monitor annual financial and operational metrics for origination function
- •Identify high-conviction investment verticals and refine acquisition thesis
- •Lead AI-centric sourcing initiatives and pipeline development
- •Implement scalable processes for deal flow generation
- •Build, manage, and mentor origination team across North America and Europe
- •Define origination KPIs and maintain accountability frameworks
- •Coach team on sourcing, negotiation, and relationship cultivation
- •Maintain personal origination quota by sourcing and engaging B2B SaaS founders
- •Cultivate founder relationships converting to signed Letters of Intent
- •Partner with deal execution teams on pipeline management
- •Contribute investment perspective to valuation and acquisition proposals
