Requirements

•8+ years of professional software engineering experience
•Fluency in Go, TypeScript, SvelteKit, React, GraphQL APIs, PostgreSQL, Docker, Kubernetes
•Strong technical background with ability to provide guidance on architecture, code quality, and trade-offs
•Proven experience building end-user product features, ideally developer tools, agent/AI products, CLIs
•Experience partnering with Product and Design to ship features
•Built something that agents or programs call (e.g., MCP servers, agent SDKs, CLI for non-human callers)
•Hands-on experience using and reasoning about coding agents (Amp, Claude Code, Cursor, or similar)
•Async-first communication skills
•Experience working in a globally distributed remote team

•Set technical and product direction for the Code Plane team
•Drive the roadmap from issue to shipped
•Keep the team unblocked and moving
•Build relationships across the team and familiarize with product surfaces
•Translate customer feedback into product roadmap
•Join on-call support rotation
•Own a meaningful slice of Agentic Batch Changes end-to-end and ship critical pieces
•Scope and sequence projects across product surfaces
•Strengthen team practices for reliability
•Mentor teammates and build high-trust relationships
•Be the recognized technical visionary for Code Plane
•Understand customer and agent ecosystem needs
•Set direction of the team's roadmap with conviction and mobilize engineers

•Experience orchestrating autonomous work at scale with resilient machinery
•Experience owning a service not originally built by you with paying customers
•Track record of raising engineering standards (testing, code review, AI assistants)
•Comfortable making architectural decisions without established patterns and revising them
•Ability to define and measure system quality standards
•Ability to listen to customers and translate needs into technical bets
•Experience as a Team or Tech Lead on a software engineering team
