Requirements

•8+ years of professional software engineering experience
•Strong technical background with ability to provide guidance on architecture, code quality, and trade-offs
•Proven experience building end-user product features, ideally developer tools, agent/AI products, CLIs, or other technical product surfaces
•Experience partnering with Product and Design to take features from idea to shipped
•Customer-facing experience including discovery calls and design partnerships
•Experience shipping products consumed by or built for AI agents
•Hands-on experience using and reasoning about coding agents (Amp, Claude Code, Cursor, or similar)
•Async-first communication skills
•Experience working in a globally distributed remote team

•Set technical and product direction for the Code Plane team
•Drive the roadmap from issue to shipped
•Keep the team unblocked and moving
•Work directly with customers, design partners, and cross-functional partners
•Translate customer needs into a concrete plan
•Build relationships across the team and familiarize with product surfaces
•Join on-call support rotation
•Own a meaningful slice of Agentic Batch Changes end-to-end and ship critical pieces
•Scope and sequence projects across product surfaces
•Strengthen team practices for design, review, testing, and delivery
•Mentor teammates and build high-trust relationships
•Be the recognized technical visionary for Code Plane
•Set direction of the team's roadmap with conviction and mobilize engineers to execute

•Fluency with Go, TypeScript/React, SvelteKit, GraphQL APIs, PostgreSQL, Docker/Kubernetes, and multi-service environments
•Experience with developer tools, code intelligence, code search, or large-scale code transformation/refactoring products
•Experience with monitoring, alerting, or 'signals over code' products
•Experience designing and shipping CLIs pleasant for humans and agents
•Experience as a Team or Tech Lead on a software engineering team
