Requirements
- •10+ years of experience in technical program management, including experience standing up or scaling a TPM function in a high-growth software company.
- •Experience managing a team of senior IC TPMs and maintaining high standards for the function.
- •Strong technical fluency, able to read code and understand architecture and dependencies.
- •Experience building cross-functional interfaces between engineering and field teams such as Customer Success, Support, GTM, PMM.
- •Experience operating Linear, Jira, or equivalent at scale and defining standards for project management.
- •Clear understanding of the difference between TPM and PMO and awareness of hygiene-on-behalf-of-teams as a failure mode.
- •Comfortable working with Engineering Managers as accountable owners on teams.
- •Excellent written and asynchronous communication skills in a globally distributed team.
- •High judgment and ability to hold a position without positional authority.
What You'll Do
- •Stand up the TPM function at Supabase, defining the operating model, engagement model, standards, and hiring and growing the team.
- •Manage the senior IC TPM and grow the team, coaching and setting direction while maintaining standards.
- •Own the cross-functional interface fabric between Engineering, Product, Design, and other company functions with defined hand-off contracts and escalation paths.
- •Author the company standard for project management in Linear and ensure key cross-functional projects adhere to it.
- •Hold the line on accountability, ensuring Engineering Managers are accountable for delivery and project management discipline on their teams.
- •Own the dependency graph and launch readiness for large cross-functional programs involving multiple teams.
- •Operate the program-level rollup infrastructure to make program state legible to leadership without adding load on teams.
- •Partner across Engineering, Product, and Design leadership on a shared system for running work end-to-end and reinforce delivery operating model discipline.
