Requirements
- •Professional experience in education, youth, and/or volunteer management programs
- •Strong facilitation skills and demonstrated ability to build community trust and alignment for both short-term experiments and longer-term collaborations
- •Proven flair for communicating ideas, with excellent written and spoken English
- •A proactive and flexible approach to working across departments, in a distributed and cross-cultural environment
- •Able to connect with partners who are typically based in UTC+2 to UTC-5 timezones and make 3 international trips each year
- •Typically requires 5+ years professional experience in addition to a Bachelor’s degree, or 3+ years experience with a Master’s degree; or equivalent work experience
What You'll Do
- •Securing new partnerships with organizations that facilitate structured volunteering programs
- •Supporting Wikimedia communities and volunteers to offer training and content challenges through structured volunteering programs
- •Developing understanding of Wikipedia editing practices and policies and guidelines to effectively communicate the proposition to partners
- •Using readership data and community insights to identify knowledge gaps that match volunteering organizations’ capacities and interests
- •Understanding and communicating the needs of volunteering programs to the Product Managers delivering the Contributor Experience strategy

- •A passion for open access to knowledge and/or experience contributing to Wikipedia
- •Fluency or proficiency in a language other than English
