Requirements
- •Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field
- •2–4 years of experience in an engineering or manufacturing environment
- •1–2 years of hands-on manufacturing engineering experience focusing on CNC machining and/or sheet metal fabrication
- •Strong understanding of process cycle times, material and geometry limitations, and cost optimization
- •Experience collaborating with suppliers, OEMs, and customers
- •Proficiency in 3D CAD modeling software (SolidWorks preferred)
- •Solid knowledge of GD&T and inspection/QA practices
- •Proven ability to identify DFM issues from CAD models and technical drawings
What You'll Do
- •Evaluate customer designs for manufacturability and recommend improvements using Xometry’s technologies and capabilities
- •Develop and implement sourcing strategies that ensure quality and cost efficiency
- •Support production troubleshooting to ensure smooth order execution and customer satisfaction
- •Interface with machine shops, fabrication partners, internal teams, and clients to drive project success
- •Participate in initiatives to expand and strengthen Xometry’s manufacturing partner network and technical capabilities
Nice to Have
- •Experience with CNC machining, sheet metal fabrication, and 3D printing
- •Knowledge of 3/4/5-axis milling and turning with live tooling
- •Familiarity with post-processing and plating finishes for machined parts
- •Experience with specialty processes such as EDM, grinding, honing, and lapping
- •Understanding of material selection and forming technologies (press brake, laser/waterjet cutting, welding, stamping)
