Requirements
- •8+ years of experience in Machine Learning and AI with leadership of teams and projects delivering high-impact solutions
- •Experience leading end-to-end lifecycle of ML projects from ideation to deployment and monitoring
- •Strong leadership and strategic planning skills with ability to lead technical teams through ambiguity and set clear goals
- •Deep technical expertise in ML/AI including model development, evaluation, data pipeline optimization, and deployment strategies
- •Familiarity with AI/ML frameworks and tools and ability to guide technology and methodology selection
- •Solid foundation in data and software engineering including best practices in data engineering, MLOps/LLMOps, and CI/CD pipelines
- •Ability to operate at portfolio level with strong product and business thinking to identify high-leverage AI/ML opportunities and build cross-functional alignment
- •Comfort with shipping solutions that work simply and iterating as needed
- •Coaching and mentoring skills for team development and stakeholder management
What You'll Do
- •Lead and manage teams of AI & Machine Learning Engineers to deliver high-impact AI/ML initiatives that drive business value and align with company goals
- •Own, execute, and iteratively evolve Zapier’s AI/ML strategy ensuring models, platforms, and tooling are scalable, reliable, and aligned with business needs
- •Coach and guide teams in development and deployment of machine learning models and AI-enabled systems providing technical expertise and strategic direction
- •Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for AI/ML to enhance products and services and drive integration of AI capabilities
- •Foster a culture of innovation within the AI/ML organization encouraging experimentation and adoption of new technologies and methodologies
- •Communicate AI/ML strategy, tradeoffs, and results with clarity to align stakeholders and accelerate decisions
- •Design and run operating rhythms that keep AI/ML execution predictable with prioritization, roadmap alignment, quality and launch bars, and cross-team coordination
