Requirements
- •Proven track record of leading engineering teams with a clear focus on delivery and impact

- •Comfortable staying technically engaged despite not being the IC
- •Experience building platform products for external partners, B2B platform, API product, or working directly with partners or enterprise customers

What You'll Do
- •Lead and develop a team of 4–7 engineers, providing technical direction, mentorship, and career growth opportunities
- •Own the engineering strategy for Partner Solutions; shaping it in collaboration with your PM and zone leadership, then driving its execution with full accountability
- •Build deep technical understanding across the team’s domain: the Powered by Zapier API surface, embedding solutions (Workflow Element, Zap creation, Action Runs), Managed Authentication, Zap Templates, Sponsor User Automation, and AI workflow features
- •Work with the engineering team to make, evaluate, and advocate for architectural decisions that align with Zapier’s vision and technical standards
- •Collaborate across engineering teams to evaluate and inform technical decisions, creating alignment and removing blockers for the team’s roadmap
- •Proactively identify stakeholders impacted by the team’s work, including partner-facing and internal teams and build those cross-functional relationships independently
- •Champion problem-solving by identifying technical challenges and improving engineering processes
- •Be a close partner with product to tackle partner and user problems effectively, and align the team closely to the roadmap
- •Communicate effectively to lead your team and keep leadership informed on progress through one-on-ones, team meetings, and leadership updates
- •Set clear performance expectations for engineers and support their growth to meet those goals
- •Foster a culture of experimentation, rapid learning, and continuous improvement
