Requirements
- •Juris Doctor degree
- •Admitted to practice and in good standing with one or more US state bars
- •4-8 years of legal experience across commercial, operational, or general corporate matters
- •Experience drafting and negotiating a range of commercial contracts including technology/cloud agreements, SaaS service agreements, contractor/consulting agreements, and events-related agreements
- •Strong regulatory expertise with ability to analyze laws and assess risk
- •Experience working independently and managing multiple matters in a fast-paced environment
- •Skilled communicator able to simplify legal language for a diverse global workforce
What You'll Do
- •Provide practical and clear legal advice on commercial and compliance matters including vendor and sales contracts, data privacy, and employment law
- •Lead response to legal tickets from various teams and escalate to subject matter experts as needed
- •Draft, review, and negotiate inbound SaaS, service, and consultant/contractor agreements
- •Collaborate with commercial counsel to support closing sales deals
- •Collaborate with employment counsel on personnel-related compliance policies and provide support to People team
- •Advocate for and implement technology to improve legal team efficiency including automation and AI tools
- •Monitor global legal developments for compliance and advise business with practical solutions
- •Develop systems, processes, and metrics to support company growth
- •Perform other duties as needed to support the legal team
Nice to Have
- •Combined law firm and in-house experience at a SaaS/technology company preferred
